Bunk beds are essentially two beds stacked on top of each other to make efficient use of vertical space. They give each child (or adult) their own sleeping space as opposed to making them share the same bed. These beds can be twin over twin, twin over full, or even full over full.

How Old Should a Child Be for a Bunk Bed?

However, only older kids should sleep on the top bunk while younger children should stay on the bottom. How High Should a Bunk Be?

It’s important to leave at least 2 feet of space between the top of the bunk bed and the ceiling so as to avoid bumping the ceiling.
